The 5th International Conference ReECON was ceremoniously opened

The official opening of the 5th international scientific and professional conference International Conference of Renewable Economics – ReECON 2025 was held at the premises of Baltazar Polytechnic in Biograd na Moru. The conference takes place from September 30 to October 2, 2025, organized by Baltazar Polytechnic Zaprešić and Virovitica University of Applied Sciences, under the auspices of the Ministry of Regional Development and European Union Funds.

Welcome speeches were delivered by the President of the Conference Organizing Committee, Dr. sc. socio. Ivana Lacković, Professor of Professional Studies; the President of the Program Committee, Dr. sc. Irena Bosnić, Professor of Professional Studies; and the Mayor of Biograd na Moru, Ivan Knez, M.Sc. in Agricultural Engineering. The plenary lecture titled “Sustainability as a Competitive Advantage and Business Philosophy” was delivered by Jerko Škorić, Chief Operating Officer at Delta Reality.

The aim of the conference is to bring together scientists and experts from various fields, including business economics, tourism, information technology, public policy, and other related areas.

On the second day of the conference, more than 50 authors presented the results of their scientific and professional research and, through their conclusions, provided recommendations for encouraging sustainable business practices in a dynamic environment, improving the business climate, and strengthening the resilience mechanisms of the economy as a whole.

A book promotion was also held for “Studying in Unpredictable Times – A Croatian Perspective.”
